The Spiritual Seal

"Confirmation reminds us of the Holy Spirit filling the Apostles at Pentacost. When we are confirmed, our initiation into Christ's body is complete and we are given a seal, and imprint, marked as the Father's for 'it is God who establishes us with you in Christ and has commissioned us; he has given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.'' -Catechism of the Catholic Church

Confirmation Meetings

Confirmation at Our Lady of the Visitation follows the requirements of the Colorado Springs Diocese. Confirmation preparation generally begins in 8th grade for those who have been baptized Catholic and who have already received their first communion. Recipients must be in good standing with the Catholic Church and be regularly attending Sunday Mass.

Preparation meetings include both parents and confirmandi. Sponsors are also encouraged to attend and participate.

Sessions for 2022-2023 begin September 21st

Meetings take place at Our Lady of the Visitation in the downstairs classrooms

3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:00pm-9:00pm (directly following the 6:30pm mass)

Families are encouraged to attend Mass (and if needed confession) prior to these meetings.
